This supplement to The Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing focuses on the important issue of interventions for adults with heart failure (HF). In a recent review, we noted an exponential rise in the number of articles on HF in the nursing literature since 1970 (Figure). Although the body of research has burgeoned over these years, the intervention base remains sorely underdeveloped. Developing and testing interventions can ensure that we use what we know is effective, in order to improve care for this large and vulnerable patient population. In this supplemental issue of The Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing, we highlight 7 articles addressing interventions for adults with HF
