The quality of planning scholarship and doctoral education

Harvey A. Goldstein, Australian Catholic University

The article links the nature of planning as a discipline, the quality of planning scholarship, and the training of our doctoral students in research methods. A set of recommendations for the steps that doctoral programs could take to ameliorate the deficiencies are provided.
