Abstract

TAMAR (Towards A More Appropriate Response) was established in 1996 by a small group of Sydney Anglican women, many of whom belonged to the sexually abused community. These women through their experiences and led by their Christian spirituality, integrated with justice and mercy were compelled to address the issue of sexual abuse in the Anglican Church of Australia with particular reference to the Diocese of Sydney.
