Abstract

The article discusses the strong anti-naturalist take of Georgia Warnke on identity through her book "After Identity: Rethinking Race, Sex, and Gender." Topics discussed include the terror attacks of Norwegian far-right terrorist Anders Behring Breivik on his fellow Norwegians in the summer of 2011, the tradition of philosophical hermeneutics that started as an approach to textual exegesis, and the racial or ethnic identity of U.S. President Barack Obama.
